KASIE DINNER

Dinner is an exclusive, authentic culinary storytelling experience. For this landmark geoglyph weekend, our local community, who were instrumental in laying the geoglyph rocks by hand, invites you to dinner at a simple rustic wooden cabin on a dune.

Cooked on open fires, it is a sumptuous meal where ancestral recipes meet vibrant Kalahari flavours. This is not merely dining; it is a profound, sensory connection to the people, rhythm, and spirit of the red dunes.

GEOGLYPH WALK

After enjoying early morning coffee and rusks on the hotel veranda, we head out to the geoglyph on the outskirts of the village. We listen to a fascinating talk about vultures.

Because of its massive scale the complete form of the bird cannot be seen from the ground. Instead of viewing a picture, you experience the art sequentially as you trace the giant contour of the wings, body, and talons.

The unbroken 3.5km path formed by nearly 40,000 hand-laid limestone rocks grounds you in the quiet serenity of the landscape and its magnificent vultures.

Breakfast under a Camelthorn tree

Walking the massive, earth-carved vulture – tracing the lines that can be seen from space – will leave you ready for breakfast! We provide a lavish morning feast complete with chilled Mimosas for you in the shade of an iconic Kalahari camelthorn tree.

Because the desert keeps its own unhurried time, lingering over your meal makes the rush of the modern world dissolve into the silence and beauty of this vast landscape.

KALAHARI AFTERNOON

Our beautiful and friendly hotel and village are perfect for relaxation and leisure!

You enjoy a delicious light lunch paired with a complimentary bottle of wine on the veranda, after which you can unwind in our lush garden oasis, explore the small village, take a walk in the veld, or do some birdwatching.

Or you can simply kick back with your favourite beverage beside the sparkling pool, and experience an afternoon in the Kalahari unlike any other!

SUNDOWNERS

Just before dusk, we head out for an iconic Kalahari experience… a sundowner on a red sand dune!

While watching the Kalahari create one of its spectacular sunsets, you can enjoy your favourite beverage and nibble on a platter of delectable snacks.

After the sun has set and the stars have begun to come out, you listen to enchanting star stories.

Celebration Dinner

Dinner in our hotel restaurant is a festive celebration of the launch of our wonderful geoglyph.

Our chef has crafted a special menu inspired by the beautiful Kalahari that offers you a unique fusion of flavours that you will savour from start to finish.

FAREWELL

A leisurely breakfast is the perfect opportunity to share photos, and reminisce about walking the geoglyph experiencing the magic of the landscape… and honouring the magnificent birds who call the Kalahari home.
