The Kalahari is an unusual and vibrantly beautiful world, and when you stay with us you are immersed in its flamboyant colours and mysterious beauty.
Our boutique hotel is located in the village of van Zylsrus. The village itself is quintessential Kalahari… small, remote, and serene, it lies on the banks of an ancient dry riverbed, beside a huge red sand dune, and littered with iconic and gnarled Camelthorn trees.

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the Van Zylsrus Vulture Geoglyph – a massive vulture sculpted into the Kalahari with nearly 40,000 limestone rocks to honour our endangered vultures. It is Africa’s largest geoglyph.
