WE DON’T DO CONVENTIONAL… WE DO KALAHARI

WE DON’T DO CONVENTIONAL…
WE DO KALAHARI

The Kalahari is an unusual and vibrantly beautiful world, and when you stay with us you are immersed in its flamboyant colours and mysterious beauty.

Our boutique hotel is located in the village of van Zylsrus. The village itself is quintessential Kalahari… small, remote, and serene, it lies on the banks of an ancient dry riverbed, beside a huge red sand dune, and littered with iconic and gnarled Camelthorn trees.

Our Hotel

When you step into the hotel for the first time, you get the feeling of an enchanted wonderland where exquisite Kalahari-themed artworks and local friendliness meet.

Our Rooms

Our nine spacious rooms have been individually styled with motifs of delightful little desert creatures… each of which offers our guests a distinct experience.

Restaurant Klein Jan at Tswalu

Restaurant Klein JAN, situated on the private game reserve, Tswalu Kalahari, was created by the celebrated South African chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen. It is open to non-resident guests for lunch only. As Tswalu is close to van Zylsrus, we tailor-make a tremendous package for guests who don’t want to overnight at Tswalu but would like to enjoy their superb eight-course menu and wine pairing at the restaurant.
